Our Work

ARVO's mission is to provide veterinary care to pets and their people in remote, underserved Alaskan villages.  We organize and deliver volunteer veterinary medical teams that travel to the village and provide spay-neuter surgeries, vaccines, and basic care.  When resources permit, we also provide Helping Hand support to animals who need to fly to Anchorage for help. And we advocate for the needs of Alaska's rural pets, people, and communities. The links below will give you more information. Thank you!
