Rural pets need our help!
Out of sight out of mind?  Not on your life!

​During the winter, rural pet owners depend on fish from their summer catch to feed their dogs.  A poor fishing season, combined with additional financial strain from inflation, many rural pet owners simply cannot afford the extremely high cost of commercial dog food in the bush.  Sadly, there is a tragic and growing number of dogs being left to fend for themselves.  Without food, many will die from starvation and hypothermia. Others will be shot as villages struggle to manage the growing number of hungry strays scavenging for food.  Let's do everything we can to prevent this!

ARVO's dog food campaigns in the past have been lifesaving, and we need to do it again, right now, Winter 2022!  But we can't do this alone.  We are asking fellow animal lovers to help with this effort. Your support can make all the difference.  Together we can help prevent the awful pain, suffering and death from starvation.
